Create a Prompt

1. Navigate to the Create screen and tap/click on the Prompt card.

2. For this guide, we will be covering how to build a prompt from scratch, but you also have the option to re-use an existing prompt.

Press Build.

3. (Optional) Upload or capture any media you want to appear on the prompt. This is useful when you want to include resources or additional context for your learners (or you just want it to look pretty 🙂).

Press Skip to skip this step if you want to create a text-only prompt.

4. Set the parameters for the Prompt, such as a due date or allowing teachers to respond (optional), then press NEXT.

5. Select any required COGS (optional) and press NEXT.

Required COGS are COGS that learners must address in their responses, and are automatically tagged on every post responding to this prompt. Skip this step to keep it completely open-ended for your learners.

6. Add a written prompt and press NEXT.

All prompts require a written component.

7. Choose the groups/classes you'd like to respond to the Prompt by selecting the Students & Teachers option under each group you'd like to share the prompt with, then press PREVIEW.

Students in the groups/classes you select will see the Prompt show up in their Prompt feed. (See How do students find and respond to Prompts?)

8. Preview the Prompt. If it looks good, press POST to post it.
