COGS stands for Concepts, Outcomes, Goals, and Skills.
COGS play an important role in Unrulr. Every post in Unrulr is tagged with one or more cogs. Available COGS for each group/class are set up by the group organizer.
Cogs are used for:
Bringing intention to posts: because all posts require at least one COG, the poster is required to think about the relevance of the post to the purpose of the group.
Filtering posts:
When viewing a feed, a user might want to see only posts tagged with a certain cog. See How to Filter Posts by COGS.
When creating a Journey post, a user might want to focus the Journey on a particular COG or set of COGS. See How to Create a Journey.
Assessment: teachers/mentors and peers can assess COGS on each post. See How COGS Evaluations Work in Unrulr.
COGS Sets
Related COGS are grouped together in a COGS set. COGS are assigned/added to a group/class as part of a COGS set.
To add a COGS set to a group/class you organize, see How to Add or Remove COGS to a Group/Class.
To create a new COGS set, see How to Create Your Own COGS.
